自分でそれは買わない、と強く言い聞かせて
そればっかり思っているものだから ついつい、それを買ってしまっていた。
そんなことありますか？
Have you ever done something that you knew you weren't supposed to do,
but did it anyway unknowingly because you were thinking about 'it'?
最初に植えたりんごの木が 'マッキントッシュ' だったので
授粉の為、他の品種を植えるように計画していました
それがなぜか又 'マッキントッシュ' を買い、植えて数ヵ月後に はっと気が付いたのでした。
I planted an apple tree 'McIntosh'
and wanted to plant a different one for cross-pollination.
Well, I planted another 'McIntosh' and didn't realize it for a few months.
2本めの木は抜くに抜かれず また 'レッドデリシャス' も植えました。
I couldn't pull out the second one but went ahead and planted a 'Red Delicious'.
りんごの木は一年実って一年休む と聞きますが今年はお休みの年です。
ちなみに去年はこんなに沢山採れたんですよ。
I have heard that apple trees will be productive every other year, and this is their resting year.

それでも今年も7～8個は収穫できそうです
皆、まだまだ若い木ですが なにしろ、三本もあるものですから...

Looks like we may be able to harvest seven or eight apples this year.
These are still young trees but we should get at least a few apples every year
since we have THREE apple trees, you know?

それにしても いつの間にこんなに鈍くなったのかなぁ？
chikoさんの所ではりんごが生っているのですね～♪

可愛らしかったのを覚えています。
今年は少しで残念ね
収穫されたリンゴはどのようにして召し上がるのかしら・・。
りんごも大好きです♪

ReplyDeleteりんごって素朴で可愛いですよね。 お花の香りもいいですよ～。
柑橘類は寒すぎてだめですがりんごは何とか大丈夫です。
厳しい気候のおかげで害虫や病気は少ないんですよ。あまり愚痴らないようにしないとバチがあたりますね。（反省）
レッドデリシャスはそのままいただきますが、マッキントッシュはパイやケーキ、又はアップルブレッドに使います。 スイーツは冷凍出来るので一度にたくさん取れてもＯＫです。
